Oldham Council officers have announced that regrettably the Cedar tree close to the library buildings in St Chad’s Gardens will be removed in the next couple of weeks, due to it being infected, like several others across Oldham with a disease called Sirrococcus and the long term prognosis not being good.

It is likely to be replaced with another tree – although the details have yet to be confirmed.
